Why is my kitchen celing leaking after using sulfuric acid to clear upstairs bathroom sink drain?

I used sulfuric acid to clear my upstairs bathroom sink drain. The drain seems almost clear, but now I have water leaking in my kitchen downstairs from the celing. There is like a trap door in my celing and i'm uming pipes are under it? It's a very slow leak, just dripping. I'm wondering do I need to call the plumber today, or should I watch and wait and see if it stops on it's own by tommrow? Thanks :-)
