With US Oil Prices Hitting An All Time High, Why Do Obama, Hillary, and ALL DEMS Refuse To Let The US Drill?

No one is refusing to let us drill. Some people prefer that we not allow drilling that will damage some protected parkland or that would endanger sensitive coastal areas whise business are dependent on attractive beaches. Kinda like the reason they won't allow drilling off the coast of Florida. Seems like most people I talk to now a days want to start a large scale increase in Nuclear Generating Plants. The Republicans controlled all three branches of Government for 6 years. Why didn't they start such a program? Maybe there was organized resistance form the oil industry?
