Anxiety medication for dogs?

i have a two year old black lab, and he is a scaredy cat! he is terrified of loud noises and lots of things. unfortunately, tomorrow is 4th of july, and people are setting off fireworks with a huge noise. mickie, my black lab, is terrified of them. we want to give him medication that will calm him down. do you have any suggestions for what we can use? we are looking for more human anxiety medications that will work for dogs and not just humans mostly. or whatever you know. thanks!
