Can Kaolin dust be used for heat insulation?

I wish to insulate the doors of an oven I am using to dry manure pellets, the door is hollow with a 2" cavity. Will refined Kaolin dust in this cavity give reasonable heat insulation compared to 2" of fibergl wool? I have a surplus of Kaolin and various other devices I could insulate.Oven only operates at around 240F.
