Why do you think the Elton Brand NBA deal got botched in L.A.?

I read both sides were blaming each other over Brand leaving for Philly. I don't think the Clippers would be that much better even with Brand in the lineup this year because everyone has been racked with injuries. I bet even with Brand they would still have had 30 losses by this time because everyone is injured. They only have like 8 players in uniform right now but they say in the newspaper that if they had all their players healthy they would be a playoff team right now and I think they would too as long as they played well and efficiently.
