Can Kaolin dust be used for heat insulation?

I wish to insulate the doors of an oven I am using to dry manure pellets, the door is hollow with a 2" cavity. Will refined Kaolin dust in this cavity give reasonable heat insulation compared to 2" of fibergl wool? I have a surplus of Kaolin and various other devices I could insulate.Oven only operates at around 240F.

Why did my roasting pan bend in the oven?

It bent because its thin. My favorite roasting pan twists up every time I use it and then returns to normal as it cools. I wouldn't be worried by it. It only is an issue when you go to make a pan sauce. By the way Martha Stewart is not exactly the top of the pan pile by ANY stretch. Anything I can apply to the outside of a large gl tube to reinforce the gl?

I have a large gl tobacco pipe that has a small break on one part of it. I took krazy glue and repaired that certain area, but now it is extremely sensitive. I was wondering if there was any kind of putty, glue, epoxy or something that I could apply to the exterior of the gl break area and down onto the more solid part of the gl as to reinforce the sensitive area. Preferably something that will harden extremely hard and will be able to be applied to gl. Can anyone help, please? Thanks!
